Wallpaper - Madrid Ochre

Our Madrid Ochre wallpaper presents an intricate cartographic overview of the Spanish capital, blending clean graphic cartography with a warm, earthy colour scheme. Designed by Blursbyai, the artwork balances crisp white transit lines and street grids across varied blocks of ochre, warm sand, and soft beige tones, finished with a subtle vintage paper aesthetic and a neat city title at the base. As with all our wall murals, it is produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on an open feature wall where the full expanse of the city grid has space to be appreciated. In a study, library, or home office, the organized geometry creates an engaging backdrop behind a writing desk or reading armchair. The balanced, low-contrast warmth also suits a living room or bedroom, where it acts as a graphic focal point without overpowering the rest of the decor. Because the street pattern contains fine line work, positioning it along an uninterrupted wall or in a hallway allows the finer cartographic details to remain fully visible.

Styling it

To complement the graphic nature of our mural wallpapers, we recommend pairing this piece with clean, contemporary furniture silhouettes. Mid-century modern credenzas or warm wood shelving highlight the golden undertones in the map, while matte black metal accents in lighting or chair frames echo the modern urban theme. Keeping larger textiles relatively simple, such as unpatterned woven fabrics or smooth natural weaves, ensures the intricate lines of the city remain the primary visual focus in the space.

Colour combinations

The core palette of this wallpaper revolves around warm ochre, soft beige, parchment tones, and bright white gridlines. When planning surrounding walls and woodwork, warm off-white, creamy linen, or soft biscuit paint shades create a seamless transition. For deeper contrast, dark charcoal, rich taupe, or deep espresso tones on adjacent doors and trim will ground the room and accentuate the warmth of the print.
