Wallpaper - Oahu East

Our Oahu East wallpaper brings an expressive coastal landscape to life through the hand-painted work of Mackenzie Nelson. Slender palm trees lean against a dynamic backdrop of steep, ridged mountains, with painterly brushstrokes visible across the sky, clouds, and foliage. Muted olive greens, earthy moss tones, and warm oat hues combine with soft sky neutrals to give this landscape mural a tranquil, retro-modern character. Created as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, the design introduces a scenic, artistic atmosphere to a feature wall or wider room scheme.

In the room

We find that our scenic wall murals work particularly well when given space across a wider, uninterrupted wall. In a living room or bedroom, placing this design behind a sofa or bed frame allows the dramatic mountain ridge and leaning palm fronds to anchor the room naturally. The layered brushwork and horizontal depth also make it a striking choice for a dining room, home office, or guest room, where the panoramic composition creates a sense of open perspective. Because the palette relies on muted, earthy greens rather than intense tropical brights, it sits comfortably across larger wall expanses without overwhelming the space.

Styling it

To complement the organic, painted character of the wallpaper, we would balance the room with simple furniture silhouettes and natural finishes:

• Pair the wall mural with warm wood tones, such as teak, mid-century walnut, or natural ash, which echo the earthy undertones in the landscape.
• Introduce relaxed, woven textiles such as linen or textured cotton across upholstery and curtains to reflect the hand-painted aesthetic.
• Incorporate matte ceramic accents, stone surfaces, or subtle blackened metal details to add grounded contrast without competing with the wall art.

Colour combinations

The artwork centres on an earthy spectrum of olive green, moss, oat, and pale sky blue, layered alongside soft white cloud tones. For adjacent walls and woodwork, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with warm off-whites, pale oat, or soft stone tones that pull from the lighter areas of the canvas. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping feel, a deep olive or muted sage on surrounding trims or cabinetry creates a cohesive, nature-led palette.
