Wallpaper - White Poppy

In our White Poppy wallpaper, creator Mackenzie Nelson presents an intimate floral still life featuring a single bloom set in a clear glass bottle. The artwork carries the visual character of an oil paint drawing, where layered, visible brushstrokes define the delicate white petals and their warm, golden-yellow centre. Set against a muted, earthy backdrop, the composition creates a classic, contemplative presence on the wall. Produced made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, our mural wallpapers bring fine art detail into your home with a design that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because this still life has a strong vertical focus and an artistic, painterly feel, we especially like it positioned where it can act as a quiet focal point. In a bedroom, it works naturally behind a headboard or on a reading wall, where the gentle contrast adds character without overwhelming the space. The design is equally suited to a calm guest room, an inviting dining room, or a study where you want wall murals to evoke the atmosphere of an artist's studio. In a compact entry or powder room, featuring the poppy on a smaller wall allows the brushwork and fine glass details to be enjoyed up close.

Styling it

We would lean into traditional, rustic, or English country aesthetics when styling around this design. The vintage still-life quality pairs effortlessly with warm wood furniture, such as antique pine or mellow oak, which echoes the earthy background tones of the motif. To keep the space feeling relaxed, choose simple ceramic vessels, unpolished hardware, and woven textiles rather than high-gloss or ornate metallic accents. Keeping the surrounding decor uncrowded allows the painted texture and delicate silhouette of the flower to carry the room.

Colour combinations

The motif itself features soft creamy whites, earthy taupe and brown background tones, and a vivid touch of ochre yellow and soft green in the poppy's centre. When planning the surrounding room, we suggest drawing out the earthy neutral tones for woodwork, baseboards, and adjoining walls to create a warm, unified envelope. Soft warm off-whites, muted stone, or gentle olive greens complement the palette naturally while letting the luminous white petals stand out as the primary light element in the space.
