Wallpaper - New York Skyline IV

Our New York Skyline IV wallpaper brings the architectural energy of Manhattan into an expressive, sketch-style motif created by Avery Tillmon. Rendered with the visual character of fine ink and pencil lines against an open white background, the design captures iconic skyscrapers in a light, graphic balance. The generous negative space ensures the city silhouette remains crisp without feeling visually heavy, making it an engaging focal point for contemporary interiors. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on a main feature wall where the horizontal line of the skyline can stretch across the room. In a living room behind a low sofa or along an open dining room wall, the vertical sketch work adds height while leaving the upper portion of the wall feeling airy and uncluttered. It also suits a home office or study, where the architectural theme introduces visual interest behind a desk without overwhelming the room. For narrower spaces such as an entryway, hallway, or guest room, the white backdrop keeps the area feeling open while the sketch lines create immediate graphic character as you walk past.

Styling it

Because the artwork has a clean, graphic presence, we like pairing it with minimalist and contemporary furniture that shares its clean lines. Low-profile seating and slim furniture silhouettes keep the architectural skyline visible and allow the drawn details to anchor the space.

To complement the monochrome aesthetic, introduce warm natural wood or matte black metal accents in lighting and table frames. This creates a grounded contrast against the light wall without introducing competing patterns.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself is defined by a clean white base layered with soft charcoal, grey, and black ink strokes.

Around the design, we recommend keeping adjacent walls in matching crisp white or soft off-white to allow the skyline to flow naturally across the space. If you want to introduce contrast on woodwork, doors, or cabinetry, deep graphite, slate grey, or solid black will frame the artwork beautifully. For a touch of warmth in soft furnishings or accent decor, consider muted tones like warm taupe, olive, or ochre, which balance the cool graphic nature of the sketch.
