Wallpaper - Sunkissed VII

Bright orange fish swim through diagonal, fluid streams of blue, teal, and violet in this watercolour-style wallpaper designed by Anne Tavoletti. What we particularly like about our Sunkissed VII wallpaper is the dynamic rhythm created by the flowing, hand-painted look of the brushstrokes against an open white backdrop. The warm fish create an inviting contrast with the cool, aquatic waves and gentle bubble accents. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a fresh, expressive focal point to any room.

In the room

The directional movement in this wallpaper makes it particularly effective on an uninterrupted feature wall where the diagonal current has room to flow across the space. In a bathroom, powder room, or guest bathroom, the watery motif feels naturally at home, adding visual interest above wainscoting or across a vanity wall.

We also see these wall murals working beautifully in a bedroom behind a low headboard, where the breezy composition and soft blue tones keep the atmosphere visually light. In a home office, study, or dining area, using mural wallpapers with this level of playful movement can lift the energy of the space without overwhelming it, especially in rooms that receive plenty of natural daylight to highlight the delicate tonal shifts in the watercolour brushwork.

Styling it

Because the motif carries a strong sense of movement and distinct pops of colour, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture that allows the pattern to stand out. Simple furniture silhouettes in light, natural woods or painted white finishes complement the airy, open feel of the white background.

For surrounding accents, you might bring in subtle ceramic or glassware elements that pick up the fluid, organic feel of the aquatic theme. Keeping surrounding textiles relatively calm, such as solid-toned throws or simple woven cushions, ensures the wall remains the primary decorative statement in the room.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper combines a variety of cool aquatic shades, from pale cerulean and sky blue to deep indigo, purple, and soft seafoam green, set off by vibrant orange fish on a clean, light base.

When decorating around this design, adjacent walls painted in crisp, clean whites or very pale, cool greys will maintain the open, luminous atmosphere of the artwork. If you prefer more saturation in your room scheme, surrounding surfaces in muted navy or deep slate blue can anchor the space and echo the darkest strokes in the pattern. For smaller decorative details, subtle terracotta or warm peach accents will tie in naturally with the fish without competing for attention.
