Wallpaper - Sea Doodles I

Our Sea Doodles I wallpaper, created by Danhui Nai, brings a spirited maritime character to your interior with its expressive line work and bold nautical framing. The design centers on two sketch-style sardines depicted in vivid reddish-coral linework, framed by a wavy, ribboned border in deep navy blue, crisp white, and mid-blue striping. Set against a clean white backdrop, the graphic composition combines the feel of classic coastal tavern signage with fresh, contemporary illustration. Printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this made-to-measure design makes an eye-catching statement across a feature wall or framed accent space.

In the room

We particularly like this design in social and functional areas of the home where you want a playful, characterful accent. In a kitchen, dining room, or breakfast pantry, the seafood motif adds an energetic culinary touch that feels both classic and relaxed. The defined border and centered motif also make this wallpaper well suited to smaller, framed wall sections in a powder room, bathroom, or a summer house hallway. Because the motif is framed and graphic, it works best on an uninterrupted feature wall or within architectural panelling where the complete bordered composition remains clear.

Styling it

To complement the crisp coastal feel of this design, we recommend keeping surrounding elements clean and tactile:

• Pair the wallpaper with painted timber panelling, shaker-style cabinetry, or light painted woodwork in soft off-white or deep marine navy.
• Incorporate natural materials such as weathered light wood, rustic ceramic tableware, or woven accessories that balance the bold, illustrated lines.
• Keep nearby walls relatively quiet with solid paint finishes so the central sardine motif and striped frame can hold full visual focus.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by its crisp white ground, vivid coral-red linework, and dark navy and mid-blue striped border. For surrounding surfaces, adjacent walls in a soft chalky white or pale plaster create a bright, cohesive background. If you prefer a richer contrast, pulling out the deep navy from the wavy border onto lower wall panelling, kitchen cabinets, or door frames gives the space a grounded, tailored maritime feel. Muted terracotta or warm earthenware accents also connect beautifully with the red sketch details.
