Wallpaper - Peacock and Peony Chinoiserie Pale Green

Our Peacock and Peony Chinoiserie Pale Green wallpaper brings together classic botanical art and heritage elegance. Designed by Mairin Kareli, the motif features graceful peacocks perched among curling branches and soft, blooming peonies set against a mottled sea green backdrop. The painted-looking texture and fine line work give the pattern an artistic presence, balancing decorative richness with a calm, balanced visual rhythm. Produced as custom made mural wallpapers, each order is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, offering an effortless way to create a refined accent wall.

In the room

In a bedroom or dressing room, we like this design behind the bed or along a main wall where the vertical branches can climb uninterrupted. The flowing movement of the peacocks and floral clusters naturally draws the eye upward, making it especially effective in rooms with high ceilings or along an entrance hallway. In a formal dining room, study, or living room, the repeat carries enough visual interest to anchor a feature wall without overwhelming the space, particularly when balanced by understated furniture that allows the lower branches to remain visible.

Styling it

For an interior grounded in heritage or classic style, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with rich, darker wood finishes such as mahogany or walnut, which pick up on the deep tonal shading in the background. If you prefer a lighter, more romantic look, painted antique-white or muted sage furniture keeps the room feeling airy. Polished brass or aged bronze accents, such as lighting fixtures or hardware, complement the painterly details of the plumage and blossom outlines beautifully.

Colour combinations

The backdrop combines mottled sea green and deeper earthy jade tones, balanced by the pale, muted blush and dusky rose of the peonies. Surrounding painted woodwork in soft off-white, antique cream, or pale linen creates a crisp, traditional frame for the design. For adjacent walls or cabinetry, deeper forest green, dusty teal, or warm taupe extend the palette naturally while keeping the focus on the wallpaper itself.
