Wallpaper - Hidden Meadow

Our Hidden Meadow wallpaper, designed by Silvia Vassileva, captures the fluid, painterly character of soft red poppies and delicate white wildflowers swaying through tall grasses. Rendered with the visible brushwork of an oil painting, the composition balances warm floral accents against an earthy backdrop of moss green and warm cream tones. The design has an open, atmospheric rhythm where botanical details merge gently into the soft background wash, giving the motif an airy, natural presence. Produced as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this piece brings the quiet warmth of an open country field directly into the home.

In the room

In a bedroom or living room, we see this design working particularly well on an uninterrupted feature wall behind a bed or sofa, where the full sweep of the grasses and flowers has plenty of room to unfold. The gentle contrast between the floral heads and the muted ground makes it easy to live with across larger areas without overwhelming the space. For an entryway, hallway, or dining room, our mural wallpapers create an inviting, garden-inspired arrival point that connects adjacent rooms naturally. In smaller spaces such as a study, dressing room, or bathroom, the vertical movement of the meadow grasses helps draw the eye upward, bringing a light, organic character to more enclosed settings.

Styling it

The soft, painterly aesthetic of this design pairs naturally with classic cottage, English country, and relaxed heritage interiors.

To create a balanced scheme around this wallpaper, we suggest:

• Ground the room with warm, natural timber furniture such as honey-toned oak, pine, or antique wood to reflect the earthy greens and creams in the landscape.
• Layer in simple woven textiles, such as unbleached linen or textured wool throws, which echo the soft, field-like atmosphere without competing with the painted botanical details.
• Introduce understated accents in muted brass or aged bronze on light fixtures or cabinet handles to complement the warm red tones of the poppies.

Colour combinations

The palette within our wallpaper is built around earthy moss greens, creamy undertones, and soft red accents. When choosing paint colours for surrounding walls, ceiling surfaces, or architectural woodwork, we recommend continuing these tones with chalky off-whites, soft stone, or warm canvas neutrals. If you prefer a richer contrast, picking up the deeper olive or moss tones from the foliage creates a cosy, enveloping feel on adjacent trim, interior doors, or painted cabinetry. For decorative fabrics and smaller accents, subtle terracotta, faded berry, or warm ochre accents resonate beautifully with the delicate red poppies.
