Wallpaper - Happy Anniversary

Created by Cheryl Warrick, our Happy Anniversary wallpaper presents a lively floral still life set against a deep navy blue background. The composition centres on an arrangement of bright pink and hot pink peonies, detailed with touches of yellow and green foliage, resting in a classic blue and white chinoiserie vase. Bold lines and a watercolour-like appearance give the motif an expressive, artistic character with strong visual contrast. Our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure that makes them straightforward to hang.

In the room

The striking contrast between the dark navy ground and vivid pink blooms gives this design a distinct presence on a wall. In a dining room or living room, we like seeing this wallpaper on a primary feature wall, perhaps behind a dining table or sofa where the full still life composition has space to unfold. The rich backdrop also makes it an engaging choice for smaller, more intimate spaces like an entryway, powder room, or guest bedroom, where the bold scale creates an enveloping, gallery-like feel. In a home office or study, positioning the motif on the wall facing your desk brings colour into your daily workspace without cluttering the room.

Styling it

To let the floral artwork take centre stage, we would balance the design with relatively quiet surrounding furnishings:

• Pair the wallpaper with mid-toned or dark wood furniture, such as walnut or rich mahogany, which naturally complements the depth of the navy background.
• Introduce classic ceramic or glazed porcelain decor in crisp white or subtle blue tones to echo the chinoiserie elements of the motif.
• Keep upholstered pieces and larger floor rugs in neutral shades like warm cream, stone, or soft oatmeal to let the pink floral tones provide the main accent colour.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper is anchored by a deep navy blue, paired with vibrant hot pink, softer bright pink, leafy greens, warm yellow, and clean white. For adjacent painted walls and woodwork, we recommend off-white, soft cream, or deep midnight blue to frame the design smoothly. If you want to introduce accent colours through soft furnishings, cushions, or artwork elsewhere in the space, pulling out the dusty rose, warm mustard, or muted cobalt from the vase creates a cohesive, considered feel across the entire room.
