Wallpaper - Lemon Branches II

Our Lemon Branches II wallpaper brings together two vivid yellow lemons hanging from delicate botanical stems, surrounded by lush green foliage, crisp white blossoms with golden centres, and tiny purple buds. Created by artist Danhui Nai, the design has a soft, painted watercolour-like appearance set against a richly textured, deep blue background. The high contrast between the warm sunflower tones and the moody navy ground creates a striking focal point with a classic, heritage feel. Made to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this design brings an artistic botanical presence to any interior.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully in a kitchen or dining room, where botanical motifs naturally feel at home. Because the lemons and floral clusters form a prominent, painterly centrepiece against a dark textured backdrop, it works exceptionally well as a feature wall behind a dining table or along a breakfast nook. In open-plan spaces, using this wall mural on a dedicated wall helps define the dining zone while adding depth and artistic character. The strong contrast means the motif holds its clarity across larger wall areas, while still offering fine painted details to enjoy up close.

Styling it

To complement the rich, heritage-inspired feel of the botanical artwork, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with warm wood furniture, such as natural oak or warm walnut dining tables. The warm undertones in the wood echo the sunny lemon yellows and ground the deeper blue background.

Simple painted cabinetry or neutral dining chairs in soft cream or muted grey allow the floral details and vibrant fruit to take centre stage. We suggest keeping surrounding accessories understated, choosing unlacquered brass hardware or simple ceramic tableware that complements the French country and classic botanical character without competing with the painted artwork.

Colour combinations

The palette within the design is defined by vivid sunflower yellow, dark textured navy, cool foliage greens, and delicate touches of white and soft lilac.

When choosing surrounding paint colours and finishes, rich warm whites, creamy neutrals, and soft chalky greiges work effortlessly on adjacent walls and trim. If you prefer a bolder, more cohesive look, a deep navy or muted indigo matching the background creates an enveloping, elegant atmosphere. For subtle accent touches, muted olive green or soft ochre picks up the natural tones of the leaves and fruit.
