Wallpaper - Playful Vase III

Our Playful Vase III wallpaper mural, created by Cheryl Warrick, brings a cheerful, illustrative still life to life with bold forms and striking contrast. The composition features four stylised roses with swirling pink line work set in a turquoise dappled vase, resting on a coral pink and cream gridded tabletop against a deep cobalt blue background. Broad, dark foliage frames the pale blossoms, giving the floral arrangement a graphic, painterly character. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

In a dining area or kitchen, we see this wall mural functioning as an expressive feature wall that sets a warm, welcoming tone. The bold scale of the vase and the vivid cobalt backdrop give the design strong visual presence, making it especially effective on an uninterrupted wall behind a dining table or along an open living room wall. Because the artwork reads as a large-scale illustrative scene rather than a repetitive small print, giving it dedicated wall space lets the entire composition unfold naturally. In a hallway or entryway, it offers an immediate, vibrant focal point that catches the eye upon arrival.

Styling it

We recommend keeping the surrounding furniture relatively grounded so the vibrant composition remains the centre of attention. Clean-lined mid-century or contemporary furniture in warm wood tones, such as teak or light oak, balances the rich cobalt and coral tones nicely without competing with the illustration. Pairing the mural with simple ceramic tableware, woven textures, or quiet painted finishes lets the graphic personality of the artwork lead the room.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a distinct palette of rich cobalt blue, turquoise, deep forest green, and soft cream, accented with lively coral and pink details. When selecting paint colours for adjoining walls or woodwork, a soft warm white or off-white keeps the room feeling airy and lets the mural pop. If you want a moodier, cohesive feel, bringing out the deep cobalt on adjacent walls or incorporating accents in warm terracotta, coral, or deep teal creates a wonderfully rich, layered interior.
