Wallpaper - Emery

Our Emery wallpaper, created by Pamela Munger, brings together expressive abstract composition and rich visual texture. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between the open, painterly upper section in soft grey, muted blue, and chalky white, and the grounded horizontal bands across the lower third. Earthy terracotta, charcoal, and dusty blush tones create a sense of landscape-inspired horizon without becoming strictly literal. In the room

Because of the strong horizontal dividing line in the lower half, we see this wall mural working particularly well on wider, relatively uninterrupted walls. In a living room behind a low-backed sofa or along a dining room wall, the painted brush marks and textured layers have plenty of room to breathe. The airy top section keeps the upper half of the room feeling open and light, while the rich terracotta and blush tones anchor the lower space.

In a bedroom, Emery makes an expressive feature wall behind a bed, where the darker accent strip naturally aligns with headboard height. The palette carries enough subtle depth that it shifts beautifully between daylight, which highlights the soft blue and pink undertones, and warmer evening lighting, which brings out the earthy richness of the terracotta.

Styling it

The palette within our Emery design combines neutral chalk white, cloudy grey, and slate blue with rich terracotta, charcoal, and dusty rose.
