Wallpaper - Hello Rainbow

Created by Moira Hershey, our Hello Rainbow wallpaper brings a warm, graphic 1970s revival feel to the wall with bold typography and retro rainbow stripes. Because the typography anchors the lower-left area and projects upward toward the top right, we like giving this mural wallpaper an open wall where the full diagonal band can travel without being heavily cut off by tall furniture. Along a staircase, the upward angle naturally mirrors the slope of the stairs, creating a satisfying sense of flow through transitional spaces.

Styling it

The distinct retro typography and clean stripe work pair naturally with vintage mid-century modern and 1970s-inspired interiors, as well as simpler contemporary spaces that need a focal point.

We would complement the warm tones in the stripes with medium wood finishes such as teak or warm oak, which resonate with the 1970s aesthetic. Keep larger furniture items relatively streamlined with rounded edges to echo the friendly curves of the lettering. A simple entryway bench or low console table placed beneath the lettering allows the full graphic composition to remain visible while grounding the space.
