Wallpaper - Autumn Grass, Canvas Structure

Created by Avery Tillmon, our Autumn Grass wallpaper captures the delicate movement of meadow grasses through painterly, watercolour-like washes against a pale eggshell backdrop. Slender blades rise from the lower edge in varying heights, blending translucent strokes of warm ochre, muted sage, soft lavender and gentle earth tones with an airy canvas texture appearance. The open composition leaves generous space towards the top, creating a serene, luminous atmosphere across the wall. Made-to-measure and PVC-free, this design brings an understated artistic character to contemporary and organic modern interiors.

In the room

In a bedroom, we particularly like placing this wallpaper on the wall behind the bedhead. Because the visual density is concentrated along the base of the design, lower furniture naturally anchors the composition while the lighter, open wash extends upwards into the room. It also works beautifully along an uninterrupted living room wall, where the full horizontal sweep of the grasses can unfold without feeling heavy or enclosed. The soft, diluted palette responds gently to natural daylight, maintaining a quiet, airy mood throughout the day.

Styling it

The fluid, organic lines of our design pair naturally with simple, grounded furnishings that do not compete for attention. We would combine it with low-profile furniture in light or warm wood tones, allowing the subtle colours in the meadow grass motif to lead the room. Surrounding elements with natural, unvarnished finishes and soft, unpatterned woven textiles help maintain a restful balance, letting the mural wallpapers act as a gentle backdrop rather than an overwhelming focal point.

Colour combinations

The motif rests on an eggshell white base and incorporates subtle washes of golden ochre, pale olive, soft grey, dusty purple and earthy beige. When decorating the rest of the space, we recommend pulling out the quiet neutrals for adjacent walls and woodwork, such as warm off-whites, chalky creams or pale stone. If you prefer deeper accents, muted olive greens, washed ochres or soft slate blues on upholstery and soft furnishings will echo the botanical shades in the pattern without dominating the room.
