Wallpaper - Island Botanica II

Our Island Botanica II wallpaper, created with artist Yvette St. Amant, pairs lush, broad botanical foliage with a vibrant coral-pink painted background. What we particularly like about this design is the bold contrast between the cool green and turquoise tones of the tropical leaves and the warm, energetic wash behind them. The painted brushstroke texture visible in both the foliage and the backdrop gives the entire composition an artistic, hand-crafted feel. Made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, our wallpapers are easy to hang and make a striking statement on any wall.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as a focal point in a living room, bedroom, or dining area where the rich palette can set the tone for the entire space. Because the large-scale leaves and bold coral backdrop create strong visual energy, we would give this design an uninterrupted wall, such as behind a bed or behind a main sofa, allowing the full composition room to breathe.

In a hallway or entryway, it offers a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere that instantly catches the eye. The tonal shifts between the soft sage, deep olive, and light turquoise in the leaves become particularly nuanced under generous natural daylight, while warmer evening lighting brings out the cozy depth of the coral backdrop.

Styling it

To let the botanical artwork stand out, we suggest balancing it with simple, grounded furnishings. Mid-tone natural timbers or dark painted furniture provide a solid foundation that anchors the vivid coral background without competing for attention.

For surrounding textures, we recommend matte finishes and quiet, unpatterned fabrics that keep the room balanced. Smooth ceramic accents in muted tones or simple dark metal details work well to frame the wall and echo the painterly structure of the leaves.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on a striking foundation of warm coral pink, olive green, soft sage, and pale turquoise.

When choosing colours for surrounding walls, trim, or large furniture pieces:

• Soft off-white or creamy ivory on adjacent walls helps keep the room light and gives the coral backdrop a clean boundary.
• Muted sage green or deep olive creates a seamless connection to the layered tones in the foliage.
• Deep charcoal or matte black on woodwork or accent pieces adds sharp, grounding contrast against the warm pink background.
