Wallpaper - Boho Peacock Feathers, Grass & Butter

Our Boho Peacock Feathers, Grass & Butter wallpaper by RNM Arts brings an expressive, illustrative take on classic plume motifs. Set against a deep black ground, sweeping feathers in rich grass green, olive, and subtle sky-blue accents swirl across the pattern, anchored by warm, buttery-yellow eyelets with delicate linear details and bohemian sun motifs. The flowing movement and rich contrast give the pattern a lively, artisanal character. Produced as custom made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our design is straightforward to hang and brings a warm, decorative focal point to the wall.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well in spaces where you want a distinct, enveloping mood. In a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard creates a striking feature wall that anchors the entire room without overpowering smaller decorative accents. In a living room or a dedicated dining space, the energetic curves of the feathers add fluid visual movement across wider, uninterrupted walls. The dark backdrop also suits more intimate spaces such as a dressing room or a cosy reading nook, where the buttery yellows and vibrant greens stand out against ambient evening lighting.

Styling it

To let the intricate linework and deep background take centre stage, we would pair this design with clean-lined furniture and warm, grounding materials. Natural mid-tone woods like walnut or warm oak complement the earthy greens, while brass or antique gold lighting fixtures echo the golden butter tones within the feather motifs.

For surrounding soft furnishings, simple woven textures in neutral ecru or muted olive help balance the density of the repeat, allowing the wall murals to remain the primary visual statement in the room.

Colour combinations

The palette within our wallpaper centres around deep charcoal black, vibrant grass green, soft mossy olive, and luminous butter yellow, with subtle touches of pale blue in the feather strands.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or ceiling trims, a warm off-white or soft linen creates a clean, uplifting contrast that keeps the room open. If you prefer a moodier, more cohesive look, deep forest green or rich charcoal on adjacent walls will seamlessly integrate the pattern into a sophisticated, cocooning environment. For accent pieces, muted mustard and warm ochre draw out the glowing centre of each feather.
