Wallpaper - Jerez Spain Skyline Purple & Gold

Designed by Michael Tompsett, this architectural skyline wallpaper captures the historic landmarks of Jerez de la Frontera in an expressive, painterly composition. Rich shades of dark mulberry and deep purple blend into warm golden ochre tones across the silhouette, set against a clean, open white background. Splatters and watercolor-like paint bleeds anchor the base of the skyline, creating an artistic, dreamy rhythm across the horizontal plane. As with all Wallism wallpapers, our mural wallpapers are made-to-measure to your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the skyline motif runs horizontally across the lower and central portions of the design with an open sky above, we find this wall mural works exceptionally well on wide, uninterrupted walls. In a living room, placing the design along a main feature wall behind a low sofa allows the intricate spires, domes, and castle silhouettes to remain completely visible.

The artwork also suits a dedicated home art studio or creative workspace, where the expressive paint textures bring an artistic focal point without overwhelming the room. If your space has standard ceiling heights, the generous white area above the skyline keeps the wall feeling open and light, while the rich purple and ochre pigments ground the bottom half of the space.

Styling it

To let the dynamic shapes and rich pigment bleeds of the skyline remain the focus, we suggest pairing this design with furniture featuring clean, low-profile silhouettes. Contemporary seating with simple lines prevents visual clutter against the architectural details.

When introducing materials, warm woods or soft neutral upholstery harmonize naturally with the golden ochre tones in the print. Deep velvet cushions or subtle brass decorative hardware can echo the mulberry and gold hues, bringing a cohesive sense of eclectic maximalism without competing with the wall art itself.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design centers on deep mulberry, violet-purple, and warm golden ochre set over a crisp white base.

When choosing paint colors for surrounding walls, a soft warm white or pale parchment keeps the room bright and allows the mural to stand out crisply. If you prefer a moodier, more enveloping interior, pulling an adjacent wall color from the deep purple or dark mulberry creates an intimate backdrop that connects seamlessly with the base of the skyline. For accent pieces and larger textiles, muted ochre, mustard, or brushed warm metallics tie directly back into the golden highlights of the artwork.
