Wallpaper - Food Phrases IV

Created by Becky Thorns, our typography wallpaper brings a warm and expressive graphic presence to the wall with handwritten greetings in deep navy blue set against an off-white, light cream background. The design features the words "hola", "salut", and "ciao" stacked vertically in a painted script style with visible brush texture. The contrast between the dark lettering and the neutral ground creates a clean, inviting statement that works effortlessly as a focal point. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

We love how this typographic layout brings an welcoming, conversational feel to social areas of the home. In an entryway, hallway, or near a front door, the layered international greetings set an open and cheerful tone right as you walk in. It also sits naturally in a kitchen or dining area, where the clean lettering adds character without overwhelming the space. Because the composition has strong vertical rhythm and generous negative space around the letters, we recommend hanging it on a feature wall or a dedicated section of wall where the entire stacked greeting can be read clearly without being cut off by tall furniture.

Styling it

The confident brush lettering allows this design to fit into modern, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors. We suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and natural textures that echo its easygoing warmth.

• Simple wooden benches, dining chairs, or shelving in warm oak or ash keep the space grounded and organic.
• Dark blue, charcoal, or matte black accents in lighting fixtures or metal frames will pick up on the deep navy script.
• Surrounding textiles in neutral, unbleached linen or soft cotton help balance the bold graphic quality of the lettering.

Colour combinations

Our design is built on a two-tone foundation of dark navy blue on a soft, light cream backdrop. When decorating around it, we recommend carrying that soft off-white or warm ivory across neighbouring walls and woodwork to let the dark script stand out cleanly. Deeper accents like midnight blue, warm timber tones, and subtle charcoal complement the lettering, while earthy neutrals like soft taupe or sand maintain a relaxed, balanced atmosphere.
