Wallpaper - Shimmering Shore l

Our Shimmering Shore I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, captures an expressive coastal landscape through clean, collaged planes of colour. We particularly like how the sweeping turquoise and sky-blue water balances against the mosaic-like rocky coastline, which brings in earthy shades of mustard, dusty pink, soft grey, and deep navy. Gentle horizon lines and mountain silhouettes in the distance create a wonderful sense of depth and open air. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because of its expansive coastal horizon and landscape composition, we see this design working beautifully on an uninterrupted feature wall in a living room, dining room, or bedroom. The sweeping horizontal lines naturally draw the eye across the space, making it a great focal point behind a sofa or low headboard where the full view of the bay and shoreline remains clear. In spaces with generous natural daylight, the crisp contrast between the sea blues and warm shore tones becomes especially distinct and refreshing.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest keeping larger furniture low and streamlined to let the landscape horizon open up the room. Low-profile seating or minimalist timber pieces in pale ash or natural blonde oak allow the composition to breathe without cluttering the view.

To complement the artwork's graphic, modern feel, pair it with simple, tactile textiles such as unbleached cotton or plain woven upholstery. You can draw on the shoreline's mosaic pattern by incorporating small decorative accents in matte ceramics or stoneware that pick up the warm mustard, pale blush, or muted charcoal tones from the rocks.

Colour combinations

The palette in this design combines clean coastal blues, aqua, and seafoam with warmer earth tones including mustard yellow, dusty terracotta-pink, slate grey, and navy.

For surrounding walls and woodwork, soft off-white, light warm grey, or a very pale sky tone will keep the room feeling light and spacious while allowing the mural to take centre stage. If you prefer deeper accents, rich navy, warm camel, or muted olive in cushions, throws, or painted cabinetry will echo the natural rock formation without overpowering the lighter coastal tones.
