Wallpaper - Countryside, Pink on Green

Designed by Maria Trolle, our Countryside, Pink on Green wallpaper brings an imaginative, storybook landscape to life with delicate detail. Set against a soft sage green backdrop, the illustrated scene weaves together charming small cottages with dotted roofs, winding rural paths, horses, and a figure in a hat amidst flourishing pink and white flowers and leafy branches. The fine ink-drawing quality and gentle pastel palette give this mural wallpaper a decorative, heritage-inspired charm with a playful visual rhythm. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, our wallpapers are straightforward to hang and make it simple to introduce narrative warmth to your home.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully in spaces where you want a gentle, narrative feel without overwhelming the room. In a nursery, toddler room, or children's playroom, the whimsical details offer plenty to discover while the muted sage and pastel tones maintain a quiet visual atmosphere. It also adapts wonderfully to a bedroom or dressing room, where the decorative heritage character brings a delicate, vintage-inspired elegance. Because the pattern is rich with fine line work and varied vignettes, we particularly like it on a main feature wall behind a bed or cot, though its soft contrast allows it to wrap around smaller rooms naturally.

Styling it

To complement the storybook quality of this design, we suggest pairing it with simple, unpretentious interior elements. Light, natural wood furniture or painted cream and off-white pieces sit comfortably against the sage backdrop without competing with the illustrated scenery. Soft, unpatterned textiles in gentle blush or natural off-white help keep the focus on the wall mural, allowing the intricate botanical and pictorial elements to take centre stage.

Colour combinations

The palette is built on a base of soft sage green, accented with pastel pink, gentle white, and darker ink line work. For adjacent walls and painted woodwork, soft warm whites, muted chalky creams, or a coordinating dusty green create a seamless transition. If you want to highlight the floral motifs in your accessories, subtle blush tones and muted rose accents echo the blossoms throughout the scene.
