Wallpaper - Watercolor Tiger Stripes, Warm

Our Watercolor Tiger Stripes, Warm wallpaper brings an organic, painterly rhythm to classic animal print. Soft black stripes sweep diagonally across a rich saddle brown background, creating a warm contrast with a distinctive hand-painted character. The watercolor technique softens the edges of the pattern, giving the motif an earthy, fluid quality that works across feature walls and full rooms alike. Produced made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure, this design brings character and depth to residential spaces while remaining straightforward to hang.

In the room

We find this design works exceptionally well in spaces where you want visual character without stark, hard lines. In a dressing room, the flowing diagonal lines and rich saddle brown tone create an intimate, cocooning atmosphere. For a creative space, home art studio, or a vibrant teenage room, the expressive watercolor quality brings energy to the wall while maintaining a grounded, natural feel. Because the stripe motif has a fluid, painterly edge rather than a rigid graphic repeat, it sits comfortably across both wide feature walls and more compact, enclosed spaces where surrounding doors or fitted wardrobes break up the surface.

Styling it

To let the warm tones and painterly movement take centre stage, we suggest balancing the walls with understated, solid elements:

• Pair with dark timber furniture or rich espresso-stained woods that echo the deeper black-brown tones in the watercolor stripes.
• Introduce soft, tactile textiles like heavyweight woven fabrics or matte upholstery in muted neutrals to balance the expressive pattern.
• Choose warm ambient lighting rather than cool white overhead bulbs to bring out the golden undertones in the saddle brown backdrop during the evening.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a foundation of warm saddle brown accented by soft, washed black and deep charcoal tones. When choosing paint for adjacent walls, skirting, or doors, consider warm earthy neutrals such as muted clay, soft fawn, or warm taupe. If you prefer higher contrast, a deep charcoal or soft black on woodwork creates a tailored frame around the wallpaper, while warm off-white trim keeps the overall room looking balanced and inviting.
