Wallpaper - Golden Era, Green Beige

Our Golden Era, Green Beige wallpaper, created by Imary, captures the intricate architectural ornament of classical ceiling and plasterwork design. Built around elaborate central medallions, scrolling acanthus leaves, decorative frames, and delicate floral festoons, the composition delivers an elegant, grand scale balanced by a gentle palette of soft green-beige, muted stone, and warm ivory tones. Printed as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wallpaper with a subtle paper texture, it introduces historical grandeur and fine ornamental depth to any room.

In the room

Because the motif features strong symmetry and large-scale classical framing, we find it works particularly well on wider, uninterrupted walls where the complete architectural repeat can be seen in full. In a dining room or living room, positioning this design behind a dining table or main sofa creates a formal, grounding focal point. It also makes an exceptional statement on a chimney breast or behind a headboard in a master bedroom, where the framing elements naturally anchor the furniture.

The pale green-beige palette keeps the intricate detail from overwhelming smaller rooms, meaning it can also lend quiet architectural elegance to a formal hallway or study. In spaces with good natural light, the delicate tonal shading within the scrolls and relief-style detailing becomes especially nuanced.

Styling it

We recommend letting the wallpaper provide the room's decorative ornament while keeping surrounding furniture clean and tailored. Pieces with classic silhouettes, such as upholstered dining chairs or an elegant low-profile sideboard, complement the historical character without competing for visual attention.

To maintain a balanced, considered interior, we suggest introducing simple textures like smooth matte painted woodwork or subtle woven fabrics on upholstery. Natural warm wood finishes or understated aged metal accents, such as antique bronze lighting or understated curtain hardware, sit naturally alongside the classical European aesthetic.

Colour combinations

The design itself features soft green-beige, warm stone, pale cream, and delicate taupe shading. When selecting paint colours for surrounding walls, cornicing, and skirtings, we suggest leaning into soft off-whites, muted linen tones, or gentle putty shades to keep the perimeter harmonious and light.

For a subtle contrast that draws out the deeper contours of the ornament, a muted olive-khaki, warm taupe, or soft antique grey works beautifully on doors, panelling, or surrounding woodwork.
