Wallpaper - Golden Twenties Flair in Art Deco

Our Golden Twenties Flair in Art Deco wallpaper captures the theatrical elegance of the 1920s through a striking, symmetrical composition. At the heart of the design, an elegant figure in a flowing gown stands framed by a dramatic golden sunburst, flanked by stylized architectural columns, stepped forms, and dark green fan motifs. The balance of sharp geometric lines and circular ornaments brings vintage character to the wall, underpinned by a palette of warm sunflower gold, deep green, and black tones. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our mural wallpapers bring distinct visual character into the home.

In the room

Because this is a centered, highly architectural design, we see it working especially well as a focal point in a living room. The strong symmetry and vertical columns naturally draw the eye, making it ideal for a wider, uninterrupted feature wall behind a low sofa or a main seating arrangement. Giving the mural room to breathe across a prominent wall ensures the full flanking columns and framing figures remain visible, creating a balanced backdrop for entertaining or relaxing in the evening.

Styling it

To let the detailed geometry take center stage, we would balance this design with clean-lined furniture and thoughtful period touches.

• Pair the wallpaper with low-profile upholstered seating in deep velvet or smooth woven textures to avoid blocking the lower steps and radial lines.
• Introduce understated dark wood or polished metal accents, such as brass or blackened iron, to echo the warm metallic look and architectural structure in the illustration.
• Keep surrounding decorative accessories minimal and intentional, allowing the rich symmetry of the mural to act as the primary artwork in the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by warm sunflower gold, rich dark green, and contrasting black and cream line work. When decorating around it, we recommend drawing out the deeper tones with adjacent painted walls or joinery in deep forest green or soft charcoal. For a brighter, more open feel, warm ivory or muted biscuit tones on surrounding surfaces will complement the lighter geometric sections without competing with the central figure.
