Wallpaper - Santorini II

Designed by Nikita Jariwala, our Santorini II wallpaper captures the architectural charm of Greek coastal villages through fluid brushstrokes and distinct ink outlines. The composition gathers domed rooftops, tiered whitewashed houses, stone stairways, and a distant windmill, set against rich blue watercolour washes and an off-white background. What we particularly appreciate in this mural wallpaper is the balance between crisp linear structure and soft ink bleeds, giving the architectural scene an expressive, hand-painted look. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it creates a clean, graphic focal point on any wall.

In the room

We see this design working especially well in a dining room, living area, or a bright hallway where the tiered village scene can be appreciated across a main feature wall. In a dining space, positioning the mural wallpaper behind a central table allows the upward movement of the rooftops and stairways to draw the eye without feeling crowded. Because the artwork features a strong graphic contrast between deep cobalt blue and clean white, giving it a relatively uninterrupted wall lets the full architectural cluster breathe. In a study or guest bedroom, the crisp coastal theme brings an airy, open feel that pairs comfortably with generous daylight.

Styling it

When styling around our Santorini II design, we like pairing the crisp blue and white palette with simple, grounding elements that let the artwork take centre stage:

• Clean-lined furniture in light wood tones, such as pale ash or natural oak, brings warmth to the room while complementing the breezy Mediterranean character of the design.
• Solid white ceramics, textured plaster accents, or matte stoneware echo the visual forms of the whitewashed village houses.
• Keeping surrounding textiles in plain, unpatterned fabrics, such as simple off-white curtains or a neutral flatweave rug, prevents competing patterns from distracting from the detailed ink work.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on varying tones of rich cobalt blue, softer watercolour indigos, and clean off-white. When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls and woodwork, a crisp soft white or light warm cream creates a natural continuation of the background paper. For a bolder, more defined look, pulling out the deep blue from the domed roofs for skirting boards, doors, or built-in shelving adds striking architectural cohesion to the room. Terracotta or warm sand accents in decorative accessories also sit comfortably alongside the cool blue tones.
