Wallpaper - Sepia Guitar I

Created in collaboration with Deborah Revell, our Sepia Guitar I wallpaper focuses on a close-up photographic study of an electric guitar headstock and neck against a soft, muted backdrop. The warm monochrome palette highlights the mechanical details of tuning pegs, strings, frets, and hardware with clean contrast and graphic clarity. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this wall mural brings a distinct musical character and focused visual identity to any interior wall.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in a dedicated music room, home studio, or study where its graphic, instrumental subject feels right at home. In a living room or teenage bedroom, we would place this wallpaper mural on a main accent wall behind a low sofa, desk, or sideboard so the strong vertical lines of the guitar neck and detailed headstock remain clearly visible without being obscured by tall storage units. The restrained sepia-toned backdrop provides plenty of visual breathing room around the central motif, making it comfortable across larger open wall spaces.

Styling it

Because the artwork has a graphic, photographic presence, we recommend keeping surrounding furniture relatively streamlined and uncluttered. Dark metal accents or black shelving echo the deep charcoal tones of the instrument, while warm timber furniture harmonises naturally with the sepia undertones. Soft, solid upholstery and matte finishes will keep the focus squarely on the fine details of the wall mural without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The motif itself is built on warm sepia, deep charcoal, muted cream, and silver-toned metallic highlights. In the surrounding interior, we would pair this wallpaper with warm off-white or soft biscuit-toned walls to continue the airy background. For a moodier, more defined space, deeper charcoal grey or rich espresso shades on adjoining woodwork, frames, or painted surfaces will draw out the dark tones of the fretboard and headstock.
