Wallpaper - Botanical Beauty I Jewel

Our Botanical Beauty I Jewel wallpaper, created by Julia Purinton, sets expressive floral forms against an intensely deep background. Two focal burnt orange blooms with painted petals and bright yellow centres command the foreground, balanced by supporting pink and magenta flowers that lend depth across the arrangement. Fresh green leaves and slender stems weave between the petals, creating clear botanical contrast against the dark base. Printed as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, the design brings the timeless feel of an oil-painted floral still life straight to the wall.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well on a main wall in a living room, dining room or bedroom where you want the pattern to establish the mood of the space. Because the floral composition combines large focal blooms with high contrast against the dark background, it thrives on an uninterrupted feature wall where the painted details have space to unfold.

In a dining room, placing this mural wallpaper behind the dining table creates an intimate, atmospheric backdrop for evening gatherings. In a bedroom, setting it behind the headboard grounds the entire room in rich, warm colour. If you have generous daylight from large windows, the subtle tonal shifts in the burnt orange and pink petals come forward clearly, while softer artificial light in the evening draws attention to the moody depth of the dark ground.

Styling it

To let the rich floral motif take centre stage, we suggest pairing this wallpaper with furniture that carries simple, solid lines rather than busy surface patterns.

Dark-stained timber furniture or vintage pieces complement the heritage, still-life character of the artwork without fighting for attention. Upholstery in warm ochre, muted rust or understated charcoal helps ground the surrounding space, while smooth ceramic accents or aged brass fixtures echo the warm tones in the flower centres.

Colour combinations

The colour palette within our wallpaper revolves around deep burnt orange, vibrant pink, magenta, golden yellow, fresh foliage greens and an ink-dark backdrop.

When choosing colours for surrounding walls, woodwork or cabinetry, consider pulling directly from these core tones. A muted charcoal or deep off-black on adjacent walls continues the dramatic atmosphere across the whole room. If you prefer a lighter contrast, warm off-white or soft linen tones on the woodwork allow the dark botanical composition to stand out crisply. For accents and textiles, deep moss green or dusky rose creates a natural, harmonious connection with the flowers and foliage.
