Wallpaper - Olive Cranes on Paper

Created by Yumeee, our Olive Cranes on Paper wallpaper brings together an elegant gathering of red-crowned cranes and graceful white egrets standing amidst tropical foliage against a deep olive green backdrop. We especially like the painted-looking character of the plumage and the striking contrast between the bright red crowns, soft feather detailing, and the subtle teal leaves with red veining. The composition keeps the intricate wildlife and botanical forms along the lower portion of the wall, allowing the rich, muted olive background to rise into open space above. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because the detailed motif gathers across the lower half of the design, we see this working beautifully in a bedroom behind a lower headboard or along a dining room wall where the bird figures remain visible above furniture. In a living room, giving this design a wider, relatively uninterrupted wall allows the horizontal procession of cranes and egrets to unfold naturally. The rich olive tone creates a tranquil, grounded atmosphere that feels enveloping across a feature wall or throughout an intimate study or creative space.

Styling it

To complement the traditional chinoiserie character and artistic depth of the motif, we would pair this wallpaper with warm, natural materials and balanced furnishings.

• Dark wood furniture, such as walnut or antique mahogany, grounds the deep olive tone and complements the classic illustration style.
• Textiles in warm off-white, muted linen, or deep forest green echo the feathers and botanical elements without competing with the detailed birds.
• Muted brass or antique gold accents on lighting fixtures and cabinet hardware bring out the warm ochre tones in the beaks and legs.

Colour combinations

Our design centers on deep earthy olive green, bright white, soft greys, charcoal, and vibrant red accents on the crane crowns and leaf veins. For surrounding painted walls or woodwork, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with warm earthy neutrals, soft chalky whites, or a complementary muted olive green. Deep charcoal or rich dark brown on adjacent trim can also frame the mural wallpapers nicely and enhance their artistic presence.
