Wallpaper - Warm Western BW

Photographer Nathan Larson captures an intimate, close-up moment between horses in our Warm Western BW wallpaper. The composition focuses on the gentle curves of their necks and the rich texture of the mane, rendered in balanced black and white tones. With its soft background and strong focal contrast, this mural wallpaper brings a calm, photographic presence into a room. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made to your exact dimensions, PVC-free, and printed on paper with a subtle surface structure that is straightforward to hang.

In the room

We see this wall mural working particularly well on a main feature wall in a living room, bedroom, or study. Because the photographic composition is concentrated around the curve of the horses' heads and manes, giving the wallpaper a wide, uninterrupted wall allows the full scale and posture of the animals to make an impact. In a bedroom, placing it behind a low bed frame anchors the space with a restful, grounded focal point. In a living area or home office, keeping tall shelving away from the primary subject ensures the detail in the coat and mane remains unobstructed.

Styling it

To balance the photographic weight and monochromatic tones of the mural, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and organic textures.

• Ground the room with natural wood furniture, such as mid-toned oak or walnut, which adds warmth next to the cool grayscale palette.
• Introduce tactile fabrics like washed linen, wool throws, or woven rugs to echo the natural, soft quality of the imagery.
• Keep surrounding accent pieces uncluttered, choosing matte black or brushed metal details that harmonize with the darker values in the print.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is defined by deep charcoal blacks, soft grays, and pale off-white highlights. Around the wall mural, we like using warm off-whites, stone, or pale beige on adjacent walls to soften the contrast and create a cozy, layered atmosphere. Deeper accents in charcoal, espresso, or muted earth tones work well across larger upholstery, cushions, and curtains to connect the room back to the darker tones in the mane.
