Wallpaper - Smiling Flowers

Our Smiling Flowers wallpaper by Imary brings together a dense, seamless field of stylized white and pale grey blossoms, each formed with petals radiating from a gentle centre touched with hints of soft yellow and brown. What we particularly like about this floral design is its painterly, watercolour-like character, creating an organic rhythm across the wall without feeling loud or overwhelming. The light cream and white palette keeps the overall visual scale soft and balanced, allowing the subtle painted texture of the blooms to give the surface depth. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, our wallpaper offers a calm, dreamy backdrop suited to quiet residential spaces.

In the room

In a bedroom, we see this design working beautifully across the wall behind the bed, creating a serene, enveloping focal point. Because the repeat is balanced and soft in contrast, it also sits very naturally across all four walls in a smaller room where you want to introduce pattern without making the space feel closed in.

In a living room, we would pair this wallpaper with an open sitting area where natural daylight can pick up the delicate tonal shifts between the white, cream, and soft grey petals. The fluid floral structure gives life to larger, uninterrupted walls, while remaining gentle enough to flow around doorways and windows without losing its visual coherence.

Styling it

To complement the delicate watercolour character of the motif, we suggest pairing this design with furniture in warm, lighter wood tones or soft painted finishes. Keeping larger furniture pieces relatively simple in form allows the gentle floral geometry to remain the primary decorative element in the space.

For surrounding textiles, we would choose quiet, unpatterned fabrics in off-white, oat, or muted neutral tones. Introducing subtle woven textures in rugs or curtains provides enough tactile variety without competing with the wallpaper's illustrated detail.

Colour combinations

The palette within our wallpaper is grounded in soft white and cream tones, accented by gentle pale grey shading and warm touches of yellow and brown at the heart of each flower.

When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or cornicing, we suggest continuing the warmth with creamy off-whites or soft stone shades. If you prefer a gentle contrast, muted clay, warm biscuit, or pale earthy ochre tones on surrounding trim or cabinetry highlight the subtle warm centres of the floral motif.
