Wallpaper - Quail Eggshell, Sage

Our Quail Eggshell, Sage wallpaper by RNM Arts brings an organic, speckled character to the wall with its interplay of fine splatters and soft, painterly blotches. Set against a warm, pale off-white background, the muted sage green marks vary from delicate stippled dots to washed, watercolour-like pools of colour. The distribution feels natural and lively without overwhelming the eye, giving the overall repeat an airy, decorative rhythm. Printed made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, this design offers a fresh take on classic mineral textures and natural eggshell patterns.

In the room

Because the speckled repeat is evenly balanced without a dominant directional pull, we find it works beautifully across both wide, uninterrupted walls and smaller, fragmented layouts. In a hallway or entryway, the organic spotting adds visual interest without crowding the sightlines. In a bedroom or guest room, placing the design behind a headboard creates an inviting backdrop that feels soft and grounded.

The low-contrast pairing of pale cream and muted sage also makes this wallpaper easy to use across all four walls in a dining space or home study. Under generous daylight, the delicate shifts between the lighter washes and deeper green flecks become easy to appreciate, while warmer evening lamps soften the contrast and create a gentle, cocooning atmosphere.

Styling it

We like to pair this pattern with clean-lined furniture and simple, unbusy decorative pieces so the organic speckled motif remains the focal point.

• Combine the wallpaper with warm timber pieces, such as natural ash, pale birch, or mid-tone oak, to echo the earthy, nature-inspired palette.
• Introduce tactile textiles like washed linen drapes, looped wool rugs, or slubbed cotton throws in neutral cream or stone tones to complement the soft visual texture on the wall.
• Ground the sage tones with subtle, dark accents in matte black metal or deep forest green ceramics to give the room definition and contemporary contrast.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on soft sage green, mossy undertones, and a warm, pale off-white base.

When choosing adjacent wall paint, woodwork, or built-in cabinetry, creamy whites and soft oatmeal shades create a seamless, harmonious transition. For a richer look, deeper olive, eucalyptus, or muted forest greens pull out the darkest splatters in the motif. If you want to introduce an accent colour, warm clay, biscuit, or pale terracotta tones sit comfortably alongside the green without competing with the pattern.
