Wallpaper - Lush Canopy, Periwinkle

Our Lush Canopy, Periwinkle wallpaper brings a gentle botanical presence into a room, featuring delicate watercolor-like leaves that cascade downwards from above. Designed by Irina Chikati, the motif pairs soft shades of lavender and light purple with airy periwinkle and subtle pink tones set against a clean, pale background. The elongated foliage overlaps softly, creating a light canopy effect with an organic, contemporary feel. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a quiet, artistic nature theme to any wall.

In the room

Because the pattern cascades from the top edge and leaves generous open space below, we see this working particularly well in a bedroom behind a low bedhead, or in a nursery or study where you want visual interest without overwhelming the room. In a living room or dining area, the vertical flow of the foliage draws the eye upward, making it especially effective on taller walls or behind seating. The open lower composition also means furniture can sit naturally against the wall without obscuring the main foliage details. In smaller spaces like a dressing room, powder room, or entryway, the light background and pastel palette keep the space feeling open and airy.

Styling it

The organic, impressionistic style of our mural wallpapers pairs effortlessly with contemporary and organic modern interiors. We would balance the soft watercolor foliage with understated furniture and clean architectural lines.

• Keep large furniture low and visually light, using pale woods or simple painted finishes so the cascading canopy remains the focal point.
• Choose surrounding textiles in simple, tactile textures like washed linen or woven cotton in off-white, oat, or faint grey.
• Add small accents in brushed pewter or muted bronze to subtly ground the delicate pastel palette.

Colour combinations

The motif is defined by soft lavender, pale purple, gentle periwinkle, and subtle blush pink against a clean, light base. To complement our wallpapers, we suggest pairing them with warm chalky whites, pale dove greys, or muted lavender-greys on surrounding walls and woodwork. If you want to introduce deeper contrast, a dusty plum, soft navy, or charcoal accent on a single piece of furniture creates a grounded, sophisticated pairing without competing with the wall mural.
