Wallpaper - Timeworn Timber

Our Timeworn Timber wallpaper brings the visual character of aged wooden panelling to your interior with vertical planks in varying tones and weathered grain details. The design balances warm amber and honey browns with cool slate greys, weathered charcoal, and soft sand shades, creating a rich visual rhythm across the wall. Knots, subtle distressing, and varied plank widths give the surface a grounded, rustic feel without overwhelming the space. Like all of our wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area where the strong vertical panelling can define the space. Because the plank motif runs vertically, it draws the eye upward, making it especially effective on walls with standard ceiling heights. In open-plan living spaces or a study, giving this design a wider, uninterrupted wall allows the variety of wood tones and weathered plank textures to be seen in full. The balance of warm and cool tones also means it adapts well to changing daylight, showing its richer amber notes in direct sun and cooler grey undertones in indirect lighting.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest balancing the detailed visual texture of the wallpaper with clean-lined furniture and simple forms. Matte black metal accents or deep bronze finishes pair naturally with the darker planks in the motif, echoing its industrial character. For surrounding furniture, warm leather seating or painted pieces in soft neutrals allow the wallpaper to remain the primary visual focus. We recommend keeping nearby textiles relatively simple and unpatterned, choosing woven fabrics in off-white, taupe, or deep grey to maintain a balanced and comfortable room scheme.

Colour combinations

The design itself features a balanced palette of warm honey, mid-toned brown, weathered grey, charcoal, and pale blonde wood tones. To complement these shades, we suggest pairing the wallpaper with surrounding walls painted in soft stone, warm off-white, or muted greige to keep the overall atmosphere bright and cohesive. If you prefer a moodier look, deeper charcoal or slate tones drawn from the darker planks work well on adjacent walls, interior doors, or architectural woodwork.
