Wallpaper - Moonlit Garden I

Created by Katie Pertiet, our Moonlit Garden I wallpaper brings a botanical, vintage collage aesthetic to life on a central scale. At the core of the design sits a detailed butterfly with charcoal, grey, and soft blue markings, framed by antique botanical typography, layered parchment textures, delicate leaves, and vintage calligraphy. The soft cream, warm beige, and muted sage tones create a balanced, heritage feel across the wall. Made to measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our mural wallpapers are designed to be straightforward to hang and make an inviting focal point in any interior.

In the room

Because the composition is structured around a distinct central medallion with aged paper borders and delicate calligraphy, we see this design working beautifully as a dedicated feature wall. In a bedroom, it naturally anchors the space behind a headboard, drawing focus without overwhelming the room. It is equally suited to a quiet study, a dining room, or an entryway where guests can take in the finer typographic details and botanical elements up close. In rooms with ample daylight, the subtle differences between the sepia tones, paper stains, and sage leaves show through with clarity.

Styling it

To complement the vintage, curated character of the design, we suggest pairing it with furniture that shares a sense of classic craftsmanship or simple warmth.

• Choose warm or medium-toned wood furniture, such as antique pine, warm walnut, or vintage oak, which reflects the parchment tones of the artwork.
• Introduce natural textiles in soft linen, muted wool, or unbleached cotton to reinforce the calm, tactile feel of the room.
• Add restrained accents in aged brass or antique bronze to echo the botanical illustration style and period typography.

Colour combinations

The artwork features a harmonious palette of cream, antique paper beige, charcoal, soft grey-blue, and muted leaf green. When choosing surrounding wall colours or woodwork, we recommend gentle off-whites, warm stone, or chalky creams to allow the central motif to stand out naturally. For a slightly moodier or grounded look, a deeper charcoal or a heritage sage green on adjacent walls or trim creates a striking, cohesive backdrop.
