Wallpaper - Dunes

Our Dunes wallpaper brings the open horizon of a coastal landscape onto the wall through the painterly brushwork of Silvia Vassileva. Soft clouds drift across a pale sky tinted with touches of white, soft yellow, and light blue, meeting deep blue and turquoise ocean water in the distance. In the foreground, sandy ground, tufts of green coastal grass, and a rustic wooden fence anchor the perspective with natural warmth. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design offers an expansive, painterly backdrop that introduces quiet depth to your interior.

In the room

Because of its open horizontal composition and gentle gradation from sandy foreground to wide sky, we see this scenic mural working particularly well in a bedroom or living room where you want to create an expansive sense of depth. In a living room, placing the design on a wider uninterrupted wall behind a sofa allows the full coastal vista and fence line to be seen without awkward visual breaks. In a bedroom, installing the wallpaper behind a lower bedstead preserves the horizon line, making the upper sky area feel bright and airy across the room.

Styling it

The oil-painted character and earthy beach tones pair naturally with relaxed, French country or heritage-inspired interiors, as well as coastal schemes. We would combine this design with painted furniture in chalky whites or muted stone tones, alongside natural woven textures such as rattan or woven seagrass baskets. Keeping upholstery relatively simple in soft off-white or washed linen lets the layered blues and warm sand tones of the mural remain the focal point of the space without visual competition.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper combines soft sky blue, turquoise, and deep ocean blue with earthy sand, warm pale yellow, and muted grass green. Around the room, we would pick up on the lighter sky tones with warm chalk white or pale pebble grey on adjacent walls and woodwork. For accent pieces or soft furnishings, muted sage green or dusty sea blue harmonises effortlessly with the painted palette, while accents of aged wood or antique brass echo the weathered character of the foreground fence.
