Wallpaper - Shellfish Social VI

Our Shellfish Social VI wallpaper, designed by Veronique Charron, brings a charming Mediterranean tile aesthetic to the wall. The central focus features three illustrated blue fish swimming within a framed border detailed with wave flourishes and warm red trim, all set against a repeating geometric tile background of soft blue petals and coral-red accents on an off-white field. What we particularly like is the hand-painted character of the line work, giving the composition a relaxed, artisan feel. Made-to-measure and PVC-free, this wallpaper paper has a subtle surface structure that brings warmth and graphic character to any interior.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully in a kitchen, dining room, or breakfast nook where its maritime tile motif feels right at home. The central panel creates a distinct focal point, making it well suited to a feature wall behind a dining table, along an open kitchen wall, or in a coastal-inspired entryway. Because the surrounding geometric pattern provides an orderly rhythm around the framed fish panel, the design holds visual interest without feeling overwhelming across a full accent wall. In spaces with good natural light, the interplay between the crisp blues and warm coral tones becomes especially lively.

Styling it

To style around this mural wallpaper, we suggest leaning into relaxed coastal or rustic Mediterranean elements:

• Pair with warm natural woods like pine, ash, or light oak in dining tables, open shelving, or chairs to ground the vibrant blue tones.
• Choose simple white or cream ceramic tableware and earthenware accessories that echo the artisan tile character without competing for attention.
• Incorporate subtle blue or terracotta accents in table linens and cushions to tie the room’s broader palette back to the central motif.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a palette of cornflower and cobalt blues, turquoise, warm coral red, and soft cream. When selecting paint colours for surrounding walls and woodwork, we recommend keeping adjacent surfaces in soft off-whites, warm chalky creams, or a muted pale blue. For trims, skirting boards, or cabinetry, pulling out a rich navy or a gentle terracotta tone creates a cohesive, grounded look that highlights the lively red borders and blue fish in the artwork.
