Our Floral World White wallpaper, designed by Michael Mullan, reimagines the world map as a lively botanical collage. Each continent is filled with a dense tapestry of stylised flowers, leafy sprigs, and playful blossoms, set against a clean, off-white background with a subtle grid pattern. Bright pops of red, yellow, cornflower blue, orange, and soft pink are grounded by varied green foliage, while an illustrated floral compass rose sits neatly in the lower corner. In the room

Because the world map is a complete horizontal composition, we find this design works best on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full geography can unfold from edge to edge. Styling it

To let the detailed map remain the focal point, we suggest keeping the surrounding furniture relatively simple in form. Clean-lined mid-century or contemporary pieces in light wood tones, such as birch or ash, pair naturally with the light grid backdrop and organic leaf shapes.

For textiles and accessories, we like pulling one or two accent shades directly from the artwork:

• Soft cornflower blue or dusty pink cushions to echo the softer petals across the continents.
• Simple, painted white or natural timber shelving positioned away from the main continental shapes so the artwork remains unobstructed.
• A plain, flat-weave wool rug in an unbleached neutral tone to ground the room without introducing competing patterns.

Colour combinations

The design itself features a rich, multi-coloured palette including scarlet red, golden yellow, sky blue, navy, coral pink, and deep forest green, all balanced by a soft off-white grid background.

When decorating adjacent walls, we recommend matching the clean background with a warm off-white, soft ivory, or very pale parchment paint. If you prefer more contrast, a muted sage green or a soft denim blue drawn from the foliage makes a wonderful accent shade for woodwork, doors, or neighbouring surfaces.
