Wallpaper - Golden Trail

Our Golden Trail wallpaper brings a sweeping, painterly landscape into the home, capturing a quiet dirt path as it winds through rolling, golden-brown grasses toward distant blue-grey hills. Created in collaboration with artist Julia Purinton, this design features visible brushwork and layered oil-paint textures that give the scene a soft, atmospheric depth. Muted fawn tones in the foreground meet dark green scrub and gentle mountain silhouettes under a pale, clouded sky. Custom-printed to your exact wall dimensions, our wallpapers are PVC-free and produced on a paper with a subtle, natural surface structure.

In the room

Because the composition relies on open horizontal balance and atmospheric perspective, we see this working particularly well across a wider, uninterrupted wall in a living room. Placing it on a main feature wall behind a low sofa allows the winding trail and rolling hills to draw the eye outward, creating a quiet sense of distance across the space. In a holiday home or sitting area with ample natural daylight, the subtle transitions between the fawn grasses, earthy greens, and cool mountain horizons become especially distinct, giving the entire room an open and grounded feel.

Styling it

To keep the painterly character of the design at the centre of the room, we suggest pairing it with furniture that has clean, simple silhouettes and understated finishes.

• Choose warm, natural wood furniture such as honey oak, teak, or walnut to pick up on the golden undertones in the foreground meadow.
• Incorporate textured, tactile upholstery like unbleached linen, boucle, or soft wool in muted cream or oat shades to balance the rich visual depth of the landscape.
• Keep wall decor and tall cabinetry minimal on the mural wall so the panoramic horizon remains visible and uninterrupted.

Colour combinations

The palette in our wallpaper centres on warm fawn, golden ochre, earthy deep green, and soft blue-grey. When selecting colours for surrounding surfaces, we suggest continuing the gentle, nature-inspired palette onto adjacent walls with warm ivory, soft bone, or muted stone paint. For doors, skirting boards, or window frames, a deeper moss green or slate grey can frame the scenic design beautifully, tying in directly with the shrubbery and distant mountains in the artwork.
