Wallpaper - The Way of the Water

In our landscape design The Way of the Water, created by Maggie Sackmann, a winding river cuts gently through a quiet valley framed by deep green forests and snow-covered mountains in the distance. What we particularly like is the soft, painterly visual texture, where brushwork and subtle blending give the scenery an open, atmospheric depth. Earthy tones of forest green, brown, and hints of teal balance naturally under a pale sky. Produced as made-to-measure, PVC-free mural wallpapers, this design is simple to hang and features a subtle physical structure in the paper that complements its artistic character.

In the room

Because of the horizontal flow of the valley and the broad panoramic scale, we see this working especially well on a wider, uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining room. Placing it behind a low-profile sofa or headboard allows the mountains and sweeping sky to remain fully visible across the upper half of the wall. In a home office, study, or library, the scenic depth creates an engaging backdrop without overwhelming the space. The balanced contrast between the deep woodland greens and the paler mountain peaks makes the landscape easy to live with across larger continuous wall areas.

Styling it

To let the landscape remain the primary focus, we would pair our wall murals with understated furnishings that carry simple, grounded silhouettes.
