Wallpaper - Mount Lougheed

Our Mount Lougheed wallpaper brings a wide alpine horizon into the home, captured through photographic detail by Jim Wiebe. The panoramic composition balances dramatic, snow-dusted summits against a clear sky, with soft pink morning light touching the highest ridges while dense, dark forest slopes anchor the lower edge. What we particularly appreciate about this mural wallpaper is the sense of open distance it creates without relying on heavy contrast. Produced as custom made-to-measure wall murals on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, the design is straightforward to hang and brings a grounded landscape feel to contemporary interiors.

In the room

Because the motif is panoramic with distinct horizontal bands of dark forest, rugged rock, and open sky, we see this working best on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room or a dedicated meditation space. Placing the wallpaper behind a low-profile sofa or along a main focal wall allows the entire ridge line to unfold without being broken up by tall storage. In rooms with generous natural daylight, the cooler blues of the sky and the subtle pink tones along the peaks remain crisp and distinct, while softer ambient lighting in the evening deepens the contrast in the forested base.

Styling it

We recommend keeping the surrounding furnishings low and unfussy so the visual horizon remains the centrepiece of the room.

• Pair the landscape with low-profile seating and clean-lined furniture that sit beneath the tree line, leaving the upper peaks and open sky completely clear.
• Introduce natural wood elements such as ash, birch, or pale oak to echo the outdoor setting while keeping the overall atmosphere bright.
• Choose unpatterned upholstery and simple woven textiles in neutral tones to balance the fine photographic detail of the mountain terrain.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a crisp palette of sky blue, cool white, and slate grey, anchored by deep forest greens and softened by faint morning pink on the highest snowfields. For adjacent painted walls, we suggest muted off-whites, pale stone greys, or soft sky tones that extend the brightness of the upper mural. If you prefer deeper contrast, a dark slate or rich forest green on neighbouring trim or low cabinetry will draw out the dense woodland along the bottom of the scene.
