Wallpaper - Volver II

In this design by June Erica Vess, a grand, sweeping circular shape takes centre stage in soft dusty pink and blush tones, outlined by painterly strokes of olive green, muted chartreuse, dusky lilac, and deep blue. The fluid watercolor-like washes and layered brushwork give the composition an expressive, modern abstract character with a distinctly artistic presence. What we particularly like about this wallpaper is the generous scale of the shapes, which allows the soft gradients and subtle textural variations within the paint to breathe across a larger surface. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and is entirely PVC-free.

In the room

Because of the sweeping curves and expansive color blocks, we see this working exceptionally well on a main feature wall where the composition can unfold without too much visual interruption. In a living room, placing this behind a low-profile sofa lets the rising curves anchor the seating area naturally. It also makes an inviting focal point in a master bedroom behind a simple headboard, or along an open dining room wall where the warm blush and earthy green tones create an engaging, artful backdrop. In rooms with generous daylight, the soft transitions between the pastel blush and richer accent brushstrokes become especially nuanced.

Styling it

To let the artwork speak for itself, we would keep the surrounding furniture grounded and visually quiet:

• Choose furniture with clean, soft lines and low silhouettes, such as an upholstered sofa in textured cream or light sand, so the larger curves on the wall remain clearly visible.
• Introduce warm natural woods like pale ash, bleached oak, or light birch to complement the organic, painted quality of the motif without competing for attention.
• Accent with matte ceramics or subtle textiles that pick up on the smaller olive green or dusky lavender brushstrokes from the design.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built around a warm palette of blush pink, muted chartreuse, olive green, lilac, and touches of deeper slate blue against a warm cream ground. When decorating the rest of the room, we suggest keeping adjoining walls in soft off-whites, warm alabaster, or subtle stone tones that share the same creamy undertone as the background. For soft furnishings and accents, pulling out the dusty olive green or the muted lavender creates a cohesive, considered feel throughout the space.
