Wallpaper - Sweet Peas Stroke Contrast

Our Sweet Peas Stroke Contrast wallpaper pairs graceful sweet pea blossoms and fine curling tendrils with detailed jade green and teal leaves. The botanical motif flows organically over a soft cream and pastel pink background that carries subtle brushstroke texture and a light speckled character. Designed by Natalia, the composition balances historic block-print influences with a fresh, airy colour contrast that gives the flora a distinct graphic clarity on the wall. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well in a bedroom or a dedicated meditation space, where the gentle rhythm of the trailing stems creates a calm, tranquil visual atmosphere. In a living room, giving the design an uninterrupted feature wall behind a sofa allows the full scale of the climbing sweet peas and leaf veins to unfold without visual breaks. Because the contrast between the jade green foliage and the soft pink background is crisp yet delicate, our mural wallpapers also work naturally across multiple walls in rooms with balanced natural daylight.

Styling it

To let the botanical detail remain the focal point, we would pair this design with simple furniture shapes and understated surrounding materials. Painted furniture in off-white, chalky ivory, or a muted olive tone harmonises beautifully with the botanical tones. If you want to introduce wood, mid-toned or pale timbers keep the overall room feeling light and grounded. We recommend keeping larger textiles relatively quiet, choosing plain weaves or unpatterned fabrics so the movement in the sweet pea vines carries the decorative interest in the space.

Colour combinations

The palette within our wallpaper centres on cool jade green and teal in the leaves, balanced against pastel pink and warm cream in the background. When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or built-in elements, a soft plaster pink or a warm chalk white creates a seamless continuation of the background tones. For a more defined contrast that pulls out the foliage, a muted eucalyptus, soft sage, or deep vintage teal on trims and doors anchors the room while echoing the motif's botanical depth.
