Wallpaper - Art Deco Butterfly Wings

Our Art Deco Butterfly Wings wallpaper brings together intricate geometric structure and vintage decorative drama, created by Chromatic Fusion Art. The design features symmetrical butterfly wing motifs filled with rhythmic, curved fan shapes that recall layered scales and feathers, set against deep black and accented with vibrant turquoise, aquamarine blue, and fine gold-toned linework. Strong vertical and diagonal rhythms give the pattern an architectural clarity, balancing bold contrast with delicate decorative detail. Printed as a custom made-to-measure design on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture, this wallpaper makes a striking, sophisticated statement on any accent wall.

In the room

Because of its strong symmetry and high visual contrast, we see our Art Deco Butterfly Wings wall mural working particularly well as a focal point in a living room or a dedicated creative home studio. The bold graphic wings have a substantial visual presence, so giving the design an uninterrupted feature wall—such as behind a main sofa or along a central chimney breast—allows the full geometric repeat and fine gold-coloured details to be appreciated without distraction. In larger living spaces, the balanced rhythm holds the room together effortlessly, while in a more compact studio space, the rich black and aquamarine palette creates an enveloping, characterful backdrop that anchors the entire room.

Styling it

When styling around such an expressive graphic pattern, we suggest letting the wallpaper lead the scheme and keeping the surrounding elements structured yet understated.

• Choose furniture with clean, architectural lines or soft 1930s-inspired curves, opting for rich dark wood or matte black finishes that reflect the deep background tones of the motif.
• Introduce understated brass or warm gold metal accents in lighting fixtures, mirror frames, or table legs to echo the fine linear detailing in the butterfly wings.
• Balance the graphic precision of the wall mural with smooth, solid-coloured upholstery in deep petrol, charcoal, or cream, avoiding competing busy patterns in surrounding textiles.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design centres on deep black, radiant gold tones, and vivid aquamarine blue. To create a seamless interior, we recommend pairing adjacent walls with soft warm off-whites or muted charcoal to let the rich colours of the wallpaper stand out naturally. For upholstery, cabinetry, or heavier drapes, deep teal, slate blue, or rich midnight tones complement the aquamarine elements beautifully without overpowering the room.
