Wallpaper - August Blooms

Our August Blooms wallpaper, designed by Silvia Vassileva, presents an expressive floral composition with a delicate watercolour-like appearance. Painted blooms in sunflower yellow, dusty rose, blush, muted purple, and soft terracotta mingle with sage green foliage across an airy, off-white background. Behind the painted flowers runs a subtle pencil-style sketch of additional blossoms, giving the motif an artistic layering that feels both light and detailed. Produced as a made-to-measure, PVC-free wall mural, this design brings a painterly, garden-inspired mood to residential interiors while remaining easy to hang.

In the room

We see August Blooms working beautifully in rooms where you want an inviting, romantic atmosphere without overwhelming the space. In a bedroom or guest room, placing this wallpaper behind the headboard creates an artistic focal point that softens the entire setting. The open spacing and pale ground allow the larger blooms to breathe, making the pattern equally comfortable across multiple walls in a dressing room or a tranquil living room. Because the floral arrangement has varied scale, it holds interest on a wide feature wall while still offering charming vignette moments around doorways and windows.

Styling it

The Regency and heritage inspiration behind the floral artwork pairs naturally with classic and vintage-leaning interiors. We would balance the loose, painterly forms of the mural wallpapers with painted furniture in soft cream, ivory, or pale taupe to let the artwork take centre stage. Upholstered headboards or armchairs in plain woven fabrics keep the visual weight grounded without competing with the detailed botanical strokes. A touch of antique brass hardware or a gilded mirror frame echoes the warm golden tones of the sunflowers and ties the room together with subtle elegance.

Colour combinations

Our August Blooms wallpaper contains a palette of sunflower yellow, terracotta, blush pink, plum, and soft sage green on a warm white background. For surrounding walls, we recommend pairing the design with muted shades drawn directly from the leaves, such as a delicate sage or pale moss green. If you prefer a warmer direction, soft biscuit, warm ivory, or a gentle dusty rose on adjoining walls or trim will harmonise with the painted petals and keep the overall room palette light and cohesive.
