Wallpaper - Santorini I

Our Santorini I wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, captures the iconic cliffside architecture of the Greek islands through an expressive, painterly lens. Fluid cobalt and indigo watercolour washes blend across crisp ink linework, depicting stepped stone pathways, domed rooftops, and sunlit village facades against an off-white ground. The open composition balances rich tonal bleeds with clean line drawings, giving the motif an airy, artistic character on the wall. Produced as a made-to-measure mural wallpaper, this PVC-free design features a subtle paper structure that adds gentle visual depth to the illustrative artwork.

In the room

In a hallway, entryway, or dining space, we love how the ascending architectural perspective introduces a natural sense of height and vertical movement. The open layout and contrasting blue-on-white composition allow the design to make an artistic statement on an accent wall without overcrowding the room. In a bright living room or home office, the mural wallpaper works particularly well on an uninterrupted wall where the full detail of the cobblestones, arches, and hillside domes can be viewed from a slight distance. Generous daylight naturally highlights the subtle variations and translucent gradients in the blue watercolour washes.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this design with simple, grounded furnishings that let the expressive artwork remain the centrepiece of the space.

• Clean-lined furniture in warm natural timber or painted off-white finishes creates a relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired feel without competing with the ink linework.
• Soft woven textiles, such as neutral cotton or unbleached canvas upholstery, complement the painted texture of the motif.
• Decorative accents in matte ceramic, terracotta, or subtle blue glassware pick up the coastal tones while keeping the overall room calm and cohesive.

Colour combinations

The palette within the wallpaper centres on deep ultramarine, cobalt, and soft indigo washes set against a warm, clean off-white base. To complement these shades, we suggest surrounding the wall mural with warm whites, pale plaster tones, or subtle stone greys on adjacent walls and woodwork. For a richer accent, deep navy or warm terracotta in cushions, tableware, or upholstery offers an earthy grounding contrast to the vivid Mediterranean blues.
