Wallpaper - Tudor Village Charm

Our Timberframe Village design, created by Tono Balaguer, brings the architectural character of historic European streets into the home. Illustrated timber-frame facades in soft pink, cream, and white stand framed by dark brown and black timber beams, set beneath steep tiled roofs in warm orange and dark shingles. A cobblestone street and arched entryway anchor the foreground, while a clear blue sky opens up the upper composition. Like all our wallpapers, this design is produced made-to-measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because of its perspective and vertical architecture, we find this design works exceptionally well on an uninterrupted feature wall where the entire street scene has space to unfold. In a living room or dining room, placing the mural along a main wall adds depth and an engaging sense of place without cluttering the surrounding floor area. The upward lines of the timber framework and tall rooflines also make it an interesting choice for an entryway or hallway staircases, drawing the eye upward through the vertical lines of the buildings. In a home office, library, or guest room, the illustrated village backdrop gives the room a collected, traditional atmosphere while keeping the overall composition balanced and clear.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we prefer to let the detailed architectural motif remain the visual focal point of the room. Pairing the wall with simpler, solid-coloured furniture prevents the space from feeling overly busy. Furniture in warm wood tones, such as antique pine or warm oak, echoes the dark timber framing in the illustration and ties the woodwork into the wider interior. For seating and upholstery, muted fabrics in warm oatmeal, cream, or soft grey keep the surrounding elements calm. Matte black metal accents on lighting or hardware can also subtly pick up the graphic outline of the building beams without competing with the rich palette of the mural wallpapers.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a balanced mix of warm ochre, soft pink, terracotta orange, cream, and deep slate shingles, set against black framing and a vivid sky blue. To create a cohesive scheme, we recommend drawing from the lighter architectural tones for adjacent painted walls, such as warm off-white, pale stone, or delicate biscuit. If you prefer deeper accents, rich terracotta or slate grey drawn from the roof tiles works well on interior doors, trim, or surrounding cabinetry. For smaller decorative textiles, subtle touches of sky blue or warm amber can help connect the broader room back to the colours in our wall murals.
