Wallpaper - Zürich Panorama

Our Zürich Panorama wallpaper captures a wide European cityscape centered along an open river. Designed by Jan Becke, the composition brings together traditional riverbank buildings with red and brown roofs, small boats tied along the waterfront with bright blue covers, and a church with a tall green steeple rising above the urban skyline. A low stone bridge leads the eye across the water toward rolling hills beneath a clear, light blue sky with soft white clouds. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, our design provides an architectural vista that opens up interior wall areas.

In the room

Because this is an expansive panoramic view, we find our wall murals work best on a wide, uninterrupted wall where the full horizon line can stretch across the room. In a living room, placing this wallpaper along the main wall behind a sofa creates a distinct architectural perspective that adds a feeling of open distance. The design also sits naturally in a home study or library, where the calm water and ordered historic facades provide a balanced, serene backdrop behind a desk or between low shelving units. Styling it

When styling around our Zürich Panorama design, we prefer furniture with clean, simple profiles that sit lower to the ground, keeping the river and distant horizon clearly visible.

Pairing the wallpaper with warm timber furniture, such as natural walnut or warm oak, echoes the earthy brown and terracotta tones found in the traditional rooflines. To keep the visual focus on the detailed cityscape, we would choose plain upholstery fabrics without competing prints, allowing the wallpaper to serve as the primary visual element in the space.

Colour combinations

The design is built around the soft sky blue of the atmosphere and water, punctuated by vibrant cobalt accents from the boat tarps, warm terracotta reds across the rooftops, and muted copper-green on the church spire. To complement these shades, we suggest pairing adjacent walls with soft off-whites, warm stone neutrals, or pale slate blues pulled directly from the river tones. For woodwork and trim, a warm cream or a deeper slate grey can provide a crisp frame around the panorama.
