Wallpaper - Life is Beautiful

Created by John Beckley, our Life is Beautiful wallpaper channels the raw, vibrant energy of street art directly into interior spaces. Bold graffiti-style lettering takes centre stage, rendered in popping shades of cobalt blue, aqua, and purple with authentic dripping paint details. The lively background layers abstract patterns, splatters, dots, and crisp white diagonal lines over rich pink and deep blue tones, creating dynamic movement across the entire wall. Produced made-to-measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings an expressive, urban artistic character into contemporary homes.

In the room

Because of its expressive scale and high visual energy, we see this wall mural working exceptionally well as a focused feature wall. In a teenage room or a creative study, placing the design on an uninterrupted wall behind a bed or desk allows the full composition and central quote to remain clearly visible without being fragmented by tall storage units.

The layered contrast between the vivid cobalt blue and the deep background tones gives the pattern plenty of visual depth. In rooms with generous daylight, the subtler splatters and geometric line work stand out clearly, while softer evening lighting deepens the purple and pink tones, making the room feel cocooning and atmospheric. For most rooms, we recommend keeping this design on a single feature wall and letting the surrounding surfaces stay simpler so the mural wallpaper can act as the main focal point.

Styling it

When styling a room around such a vibrant, graphic motif, we prefer balancing the wall with clean-lined, contemporary furniture. Modern pieces with simple silhouettes prevent the space from feeling cluttered alongside the expressive street-art style.

To keep the room grounded, we suggest pairing the wallpaper with neutral flooring and dark grey or black metal accents in lighting or shelving. If you want to lean into a more eclectic, maximalist interior, you can echo the energy of the mural by introducing smaller soft furnishings that draw directly from the cobalt or aqua tones in the artwork.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper features a striking palette anchored by intense cobalt blue, bright aqua, deep purple, and vivid pink, balanced with sharp white graphic lines and black paint splatters.

To create a balanced look, we recommend using clean, cool off-white or soft pale grey on adjacent walls and woodwork. If you prefer a moodier, more dramatic environment, deep slate grey or navy blue on surrounding walls will make the bright blue and aqua text pop forward with even greater clarity.
