Wallpaper - Burnt Horizon ll

Our Burnt Horizon II wallpaper, created by Nikita Jariwala, translates an abstract, layered landscape into sweeping brushstrokes and earthy warmth. Broad horizontal planes in burnt amber, warm ochre, soft sand, and dusty peach overlap to suggest rolling ridgelines beneath a gentle, clouded sky. The painted texture gives the motif a loose, expressive character with visible strokes and canvas-like visual depth that softens large wall areas. Made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper introduces an expansive, artistic presence that grounds an interior without overwhelming it.

In the room

Because of the sweeping horizontal lines and open composition, we see this working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted wall in a living room, bedroom, or dining area. In a bedroom, placing our design behind the headboard creates a restful, grounding backdrop where the warmer horizon tones sit naturally at eye level. In a living room or open-plan dining space, the broad scale of the landscape gives the space a sense of depth and openness, making it an engaging focal point behind a low-backed sofa or credenza.

The soft, earthy pigments react subtly to changing daylight. In bright morning sun, the pale peach and cream washes feel light and airy, while softer evening lighting brings out the rich depth of the burnt umber and golden ochre ridges.

Styling it

To complement the expressive, painterly nature of our design, we recommend keeping the surrounding furniture clean-lined and understated so the wall mural remains the visual centrepiece. Low-profile furniture in dark walnut, smoked oak, or warm teak anchors the lower earthy tones of the mural nicely.

Textiles in natural, unbleached weaves, warm terracotta accents, or matte ceramic decorative pieces echo the dry, mineral feel of the painted hills. Matte black or muted bronze fixtures in lighting or furniture frames can also provide a crisp, graphic contrast against the fluid, layered horizon.

Colour combinations

The palette within our wallpaper centres on rich earth tones: burnt umber, ochre, warm sand, soft peach, and pale cream.

When choosing colours for surrounding walls, woodwork, and large surfaces, we suggest working with warm off-whites, soft beige, or pale biscuit tones to let the lighter sections of the sky flow naturally across the room. If you prefer deeper contrast, adjacent walls in a muted clay, warm terracotta, or deep espresso brown pick up on the darker ridgelines and create a cosy, cohesive atmosphere.
