Wallpaper - Three Buttercups

Our Three Buttercups wallpaper by Deborah Revell brings together soft sunshine yellow buttercups with slender green stems, delicate pointed leaves, and budding accents set against a textured-looking off-white ground. Faint visual undertones of pale grey and blue sit quietly behind the floral stems, adding depth and space to the composition without crowding the botanical forms. The oil paint drawing character gives each petal and leaf a gently crafted appearance, balanced by generous open space across the background. We make all our wallpapers made-to-measure on PVC-free paper, providing an airy botanical design tailored specifically to your wall.

In the room

In a bedroom, we like how the light ground and soft yellow blossoms create an uplifting backdrop behind a headboard without overwhelming the rest of the space. Because the floral stems reach upward with plenty of breathing room between each element, the pattern sits comfortably across a feature wall or wraps naturally around a quiet meditation space. The restrained contrast makes it easy to live with on continuous walls, particularly where soft morning light highlights the subtle painterly differences in the yellow petals and green leaves.

Styling it

We would keep the surrounding interior simple to let the delicate botanical line work stand out. Smooth painted surfaces, light natural woods, and understated contemporary furniture with clean silhouettes pair naturally with the organic modern aesthetic of the motif. Soft linen bedding or woven neutral textiles in off-white, oatmeal, or pale stone complement the airy background without introducing competing patterns.

Colour combinations

The design centres on luminous sunshine yellow, fresh stem green, and a soft off-white backdrop touched with faint cool grey and blue undertones. Around this wallpaper, we recommend pairing adjacent walls or architectural woodwork with warm chalky whites, gentle stone tones, or a subtle muted sage green to pick up on the foliage. If you want a deeper accent, a quiet slate grey or navy used on smaller furnishings or cushions provides a grounding contrast to the bright buttercups.
