Wallpaper - Modern Houston

Our Modern Houston wallpaper reimagines the city's street grid as a bold, screenprint-inspired graphic artwork. Created by Jazzberry Blue, the design translates urban blocks, winding bayous, and intersecting avenues into a balanced geometric composition of rectangles, clean lines, and organic curves. An earthy palette of sand, warm yellow, terracotta orange, teal, and deep brown brings vibrant warmth to the structured map layout. Printed as made-to-measure wallpaper on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a contemporary, design-led way to introduce city architecture into your home.

In the room

In a living room, we love using this map design across a main feature wall behind a sofa, where the full network of streets and curved waterways has ample space to unfold. The graphic precision and interplay of warm and cool tones make it an engaging focal point that anchors the room without feeling chaotic. It also works exceptionally well in a home office or study. Positioned along a desk wall or across an uninterrupted surface, the geometric layout introduces an artistic, curated feel that suits an inspiring workspace.

Styling it

Because the wallpaper features crisp geometry and rich blocks of colour, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture and simple silhouettes that let the artwork take centre stage. Mid-century modern credenzas or minimalist desks in warm wood tones, such as teak or walnut, sit naturally alongside the earthy ochre and sand hues. To balance the structured screenprint character, you might introduce matte ceramic accents or simple, tailored upholstery in neutral tones, keeping additional decorative patterns to a minimum so the wall remains the primary visual statement.

Colour combinations

Our design features a rich palette anchored by sand, warm yellow, and deep brown, accented with vibrant terracotta orange and contrasting teal. When choosing paint for adjoining walls and trim, softer off-whites, warm greiges, or light sand tones keep the room bright while echoing the background of the map. If you want a more cocooning scheme, pull out the deeper brown or muted teal for architectural woodwork, doors, or low cabinetry to ground the surrounding space.
